Fish & chips isn't a trend for us, it's craft. The fish goes fresh into the batter, is fried to the point and served straight away – crisp outside, juicy inside. With it come thick chips, our remoulade and lemon. At 9,90 € it is one of the most honest plates on the Schlachte.
Late in the evening it becomes the late-night version in beer batter: airier, a little more rustic and exactly right when the evening by the river has gone long. Our kitchen is open daily until 10 pm, on Fridays and Saturdays until midnight.
The idea comes from our history: started in 1999 as an Australian-inspired bar, we have turned into a fish restaurant over the years. What stayed is the relaxed attitude – good food without fuss, ideally outside with a view of the water.
